That was nearly six hours ago. She hadn't seen Marco Serreti or any of his stooges since. She checked the time on her watch. It was a new Apple Watch specially upgraded by Wiley with proprietary apps that would never be available on the open market. She hoped Enzo was not captured by Marco's men. If he didn't show, she could expect the worst.

Within seconds the wait was over. Enzo Mantova's face appeared as he strolled up the last few steps to the terrace on the top of the hotel's tower. "You look happy," she said when she stood to give Enzo a cheek to cheek kiss.

"Massimo told me what you did to Serreti. I'm surprised he didn't come after you."

"He knows better, Enzo. I told him if I saw him again, I'd kill him."

"Nice bluff."

She contorted her face and spit out the words like a rabid animal. "I wasn't bluffing."

He stood silent, obviously trying to determine if she was serious or not. The corner of his mouth finally turned up. She could see he knew she was serious.

"Did you walk down Via De Calzaioli?" he changed the subject.

"No. I came down Calimala by Mercato Nuovo." The market. "It never ceases to amaze me that Italian men like to shop more than women. And not a one of them can walk past a mirror without checking themselves out. Why do you ask about Calzaioli?"

"There's this new chalk artist on the street. His stuff is 3-D. He's making a fortune. Not only from tourists, but locals too. Nobody has seen anything like it. He did a chalk of David that was out of this world. I felt like I could step inside and touch him."

"I'll have to check it out in the morning. How'd you get away? The secret escape Massimo put in years ago?" She made reference to a trap door in the floor of the back room, usually covered with a large oriental area rug, that led down and underneath to tunnels beneath the Medici Chapels.

Enzo nodded. "Massimo is a smart man." His finger tapped his forehead. The bartender came up and Enzo ordered a glass of red wine. When he disappeared down the stairs, Enzo said, "So, Francesca, how may I help you?"

She pulled out a folder from her backpack. She removed several 8 x 10 photos and placed them on the table in front of Enzo. She heard footsteps coming up the stairs so she flipped the pictures over. Enzo took a glass of wine and handed the man a €10 bill. When the bartender retreated down the steps, she flipped the pictures upright.

Enzo lined them across the table. "Never seen him." He tapped on the picture of Ethan Wogahn. He tapped on another picture. "This is Qasem Kazemi…but I think you already knew that." He picked up several more pictures and shook his head. "Never seen any of these either." He stopped at a picture and held it up at eye level and leaned back in his chair.
